Fish City Charters caters for all types of fishing and all levels of angler experience with families and novice anglers most welcome.
Townsville fishing charters can be full or even half-day, or multi-day packages. These multi-day packages are entirely flexible and tailored to suit anglers’ desires as well as seasonal options.
3 Day options
The 3-DAY option is one of the most popular when anglers often choose to enjoy the first day bluewater fishing for sport and table fish including red emperor, coral trout and Spanish mackerel. The second day might be spent in pursuit of arguably Australia’s premier sportfish, the barramundi, while the third could find anglers casting surface lures for GT and queenfish and cobia, or perhaps strolling a mountain stream in search of exotic and challenging jungle perch. It’s your trip, so you choose what you want to do.
A personalised operation, each boat caters for a maximum 3 anglers offshore, and a maximum 4 anglers within partially smooth waters and estuary systems.
Two or more fully customised and surveyed boats might be used for parties of greater than 3 or 4 anglers, depending on options chosen.

Full day fishing charters run from 6am – 2/3pm.
Half day fishing charters begin at 6am finishing between 10.30/11am.
Fish City also offers ‘Budget Bay’ Townsville Fishing Charters from 7am to 11am, within a 10nm (18km) radius from Townsville Port.

Mixed crews or share charters attract a pro-rata rates and a minimum number are required (4 pax maximum inshore/estuary*, 3 pax maximum for bluewater) for full day trips only.

Larger & corporate groups can utilise two or more fully customised and surveyed boats.
While Fish City Charters does not undertake overnight charters, we can also incorporate road travel to launch at destinations beyond Townsville (*additional fees may apply).
We had a great four days with Eddie. He is a very knowledgeable and likable character with a good bank of bad dad jokes to keep you entertained. His gear is all good quality and reasonably maintained and he has a good variety of lures on hand.
I asked eddie if we could find a coral trout, he says I know just the spot. First drop a coral trout! We caught 15 species of quality QLD fish on our charter and a few sharks. My daughter (8yrs old) was thouroughly entertained by eddies jokes and tales. Well worth the money and I would recommend booking the boat for sure!
